About

A temporary circuit using roads around Albert Park Lake, with fast corners and relatively little elevation change.

History

Motor racing at Albert Park began in 1953. The circuit was rebuilt for Melbourne's first Formula One Australian Grand Prix in 1996. Changes introduced in 2022 removed the former chicane and revised several corners, producing the current 5.278 km layout.
