About
A natural amphitheatre circuit in the Kent countryside, famous for the plunge down Paddock Hill Bend. The full Grand Prix loop is 2.433 miles.
History
Racing began in 1950 on a 1-mile oval around the natural bowl, and the Grand Prix loop through the woods was added in 1960. It hosted the British Grand Prix twelve times between 1964 and 1986, and today is a mainstay of the British Touring Car Championship, which traditionally opens and closes its season on the Indy layout.
