About
A circuit on Île Notre-Dame combining fast straights, chicanes and close barriers within Parc Jean-Drapeau.
History
The island circuit opened in 1978 after a design process led by Roger Peart. A Formula Atlantic meeting preceded its first Canadian Grand Prix that year. Gilles Villeneuve won that inaugural Formula One race for Ferrari.
