About
A compact, fast circuit with substantial elevation changes, long uphill straights and sweeping downhill corners.
History
The original Österreichring opened in 1969. A major redesign in 1995 and 1996 created the shorter A1-Ring. Red Bull restored the venue, which reopened as the Red Bull Ring in 2011, and Formula One returned in 2014. The 4.318 km figure is the Formula One layout, excluding the separate motorcycle chicane introduced in 2022.
