About

A largely flat circuit characterised by medium- and high-speed corners, originally developed for motorcycle racing.

History

The circuit opened in 2004 to host MotoGP. It staged MotoGP's first nighttime Grand Prix in 2008 and its first Formula One race in 2021. Extensive facility upgrades preceded Formula One's return in 2023. The FIA World Endurance Championship first raced there in 2024.
