A worldwide endurance championship for prototypes and GT cars, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
History
The championship began in 2012 through cooperation between the FIA and the Automobile Club de l'Ouest. The Hypercar category replaced LMP1 as its premier class in 2021. LMGT3 replaced the GTE category in 2024.
