A European endurance championship for prototype and GT cars, providing a route toward the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
History
The championship began in 2004 as the Le Mans Endurance Series. It adopted the European Le Mans Series name in 2012. Le Mans Endurance Management assumed its organisation in 2013, and four-hour races became the standard format in 2014.
